Hey Guys. I have my old 97 Bearcat 454 sitting in my garage, doing some much needed cleaning, and maintenance. New brake pads, oil change, new plug, new gas filter, fuel lines, carb removed, and new rebuild kit installed....etc etc. Getting it ready for winter plowing season.

I have one issue that has me stumped. When I am driving down our driveway, if I turn the handlebars left or right about a 1/4 turn the engine just cuts out and dies..If I keep turning FURTHER into a sharper turn or straighten back out completely straight, it'll keep running. I figured a wire must be rubbed bare, and is grounding out somewhere aroun the steering column..but after tracing each wire up the column onto the handlebars, I haven't found any tell tale signs of a worn wire.

Any thoughts? This problem is driving me nuts, and I really need to get it repaired, so my machine won't cut out on my when making turns.

Thanks

It has to be a loose or worn wire
