My Buddy has a 96 zrt 600 and it only fouls the center cylinder plug. We checked and set up the carbs as per spec. he does have aftermarket pipes but I don't know which make. We are kinda stumped as the mag side and clutch side are running perfectly.

thanks in advance.

You could try swapping spark plug wires or carbs between cylinders first to eliminate those possibilities. Do a compression check as well.

Check the compression on that cylinder, it should read around 120psi. I had the similar issue with my ZRT 800 and that it would always foul the center cylinder when idling or low rpm riding. Turned out to have a scuffed piston and cylinder.
