Found a leak under the water pump cover and thought it might be the gasket. Pulled it apart put a new gasket in and permatex the cover. After reassembling, it still leaks.
after further examination I found it to be the water pump seals. The coolant was getting past the seals and coming out of the weep hole behind the cover.
