Does a 93/94 JAG 440 Have a TSS switch
I assume no because there is no wiring going to the carb
if it does how does it work when there is no carb slide position sensor

It probably does. It's going to be in the thumb throttle area. It works on throttle input; moving the thumb throttle allows it to pivot slightly. If the bushings get worn, it'll start kicking in. Both of my 1996's had issues with it. I ended up bypassing it and installed a tether on one machine.

ok so it does have some kind of button under the trigger I am still not clear how this works since there is no sensors on the carb(so how does it know if its stuck wide open RPM? CDI?) all all I sprayed the switch down with contact cleaner and that seems to have fixed the no idle condition

If you want to bypass it completely for testing, there should be a two prong connector at the bast of the handle bar area where it connects with the cowl.
