Had a 92 and 93 Deluxe. Excellent fuel mileage!! 120 miles to the tank with no issues! Drop you main to a 280 or 290 and drop your needle (raise your eclip) one notch. 300 main is too rich for most sealevel conditions.
There was a size differance in tanks between the 92 and 93. I think the 92 was 7 gals and the 93 was 10.
They are usually in the center groove from the factory. Raising the clip will drop the needle and your midrange will be leaner. If your running rich at half to full throttle, then the main jet is too fat, drop down a size or two and recheck plugs. Don't go too much at a time on jetting, mainjets are cheap, burn't pistons are expensive.
