Just wondering, if zrt 600 or zrt 800 carbs would be ok to put on a 95 580 motor. I can't get my hands on any 40mm carbs. But I can get zrt 600 or 800. I believe zrt has 38mm but the jetting is different between the 600 and 800? Thanks

Zrt 600 was 36mm. Need to go with 800. You can look on Brown leisure world for specs on the 93 580 Zr for the 38's. They used the smaller bore and ran decent but had a port or two less in the jugs. Should give you a good baseline though. Will need a different cable also.

Ok thanks for the reply, yea I just have 2 580 motors with no carbs ect but I do have a 97 zl 440 chassis that's blown up. Basically trying to do this as cheap as possible.

Ok update... I got 38mm carbs now I need to find out what jets I need and what carb boots I need.. as in, could I buy (2)zrt 800 carb boots and would they fit? And my elevation is 1,300f, so would jetting for 2,000f be ok?

You will need flanges from a 93 ZR 580. The Zrt had reeds and a different flange. Jetting for 2000 elevation should be fine and very close.
