Was wondering if 1978&79 l/c 440cc el tigre cylinders would work on a 1977 440Z. They have the same base gasket #'s, but have different head gasket #'s. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave.

I don't think so. Even if they bolt on the power is going to drop as the 1977 LC Z oval racer was a lot hotter engine than the first generation LC El-Tigre. The porting has to be different.
