2014 Grass Drags get your sleds ready! We are working again on the track, changes are to make the end of track in the cool down area wider. This will make the track safer for racers.

The date for the race has been set for Oct 25. Registration starts at 7:30 AM and racing begins at 10:00 AM.

There will be a racers meeting before the heats start and the order of the class runs will be posted as well.

1. Race format - Single elimination, Racers are guaranteed two runs, one practice run and one race, if you win that you keep racing. If you loose you have the opportunity to buy back in once per class. Feedback we received tells us you prefer that method over the double elimination that we have held in the past.
2. Fees:
a. Entrance Fee for both Spectators and Racers (12 and under free) - $5
b. Race fee - $20 per class
c. Buyback fee - $10 (if you loose you can buy back in once per class)
3. Track format – 400 ft with ample cool down area.
4. There will be a limit on access to the pits, only racers and crew.
5. Race Classes - Format (18 and older only). Per class will be 500, 600, 700,800 and 1000 brackets. Need a minimum of 3 sleds per bracket for the bracket to be run, racers can move up to next class if there isn't 3 racers in the bracket.
a. Stock
b. Super Stock
c. Improved
d. Pro Stock
6. Validation of sleds – We have a sled tech person coming to the race and he will tech the winning sleds to verify they meet the class requirements.
7. Drag start verification and race timing – The Sawyers from Newport will be running the classes and timing with their portatree timing system.
8. Safety - Require a kill switch tether MANDATORY!
9. Food and beverages will be available on site
10. Location of races – Broken Acres Farm – 160 Valley Rd, Jefferson, Maine
