According to the specs that came with my 2012 TZ1 Turbo LXR, the dry weight is 698 lbs. Motor is a Suzuki built 1100 twin.

I must say that it does not feel that heavy when you're riding it with all the HP it has. It really rides just like any other sled for the most part. The ride is smooth (typical LXR ride) and is very stable at speed. I prefer mine to my Procross 800 SP for trail riding.

the question we all have is what kind of top end should he expect on the lakes?

That's what we figured.
My wife has the same motor in her 2012 f1100 snopro
she can squeak out 97 on the ice.
He bought the tz1 from a closing dealership brand new for $9.495.00.
No brainer
