I just purchased a 2013 XF 800 sno pro, and was looking to see if anyone knows for sure that the 12v outlet on the dash is dc? (I don't have elec start) I see some posts that suggest that it is, but not enough to rule as fact. I would check with a gauge myself, but my sled sleeps about 150 miles north of here. If it is dc, how much does it put out, and why does AC sell a DC Power Kit (part # 5639-858) to "Increase DC power output for electrical accessories"?

Thank you for your help,
blalp

It is DC as the fuel system runs on DC. however it's fairly low output and doesn't provide enough wattage to run the higher wattage accessories. It's good enough for a phone charger or GPS but don't expect to run HID or seat warmers off it.
