Is it safe to drive my HDX without the front differential actuator installed? Not on a permanent bases but for testing.

Thanks for your response. Would you know which way the slotted shaft has to be moved to be in 2 wd? Towards the drivers side or the passengers? Also what position does the shaft that unlocks the diff need to be in to unlock the diff?
