Ok I am at a loss now. My fan wont turn on. I have replaced the fan, thermostat, Temp sensor. I keep reading about a diode that might exist but I cant find it. the only diode I found was the one in the fuse box with a part # of 0430-034. is this the diode i need to replace? I have tested with a voltmeter power on the wires to the fan. i have tested the fan by adding 12v to the fan and it works. so something is not allowing the fan to turn on. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. so any help would be great. thanks

Did you replace the temp sensor in the rad?

The fan is live all the time, the temp sensors and everything all just ground the circuit. Adding 12V to the fan won't kick it on because you need to add 12V and a ground or just a ground.

Here is a post I made about how I installed a fan switch to bypass temp sensor while still leaving temp sensor functioning and factory wiring intact.
