Before I go into a bigger job than I need to, I'm seeking some advice.

My 09 T-Cat 1000 H2 EFI Automatic starts when the battery is charged up, runs great for as long as you want to ride, but if you shut it off, it tends to not have enough juice in the battery to get it to start up again. I have changed the battery, selenoid, and looked at all of the wires for cracks or breaks and have yet to find the culprit.

Should I start testing the Voltage Regulator and Stator at this point or is there other areas to check that I am not aware of?

I must state that it happens often, but not every time and more so if I use the accessories (Lights/Winch)

Your advice would be appreciated.

For sure test the regulator. Voltmeter on battery terminals and while running it should read at around 14.2 volts. Way under or over is not good.

There is an updated starter for your engine. Cat realized there was an issue and had a better starter available by 2010-11
