My trv 400 has no spark. I tested out the coil and I thought what appear to be a high resistance number. So I replaced it. But I am still getting no spark

it’s a 2007 so I am pretty sure it doeant have the magnet falling off issue.

where would you guys look next? Do the cdi go bad often on these?

Did you zero out your meter before testing?

With the meter on dc across batter terminals I get 12vdc

with my red lead on the blue white wire from cdi to coil and black on ground I get negative 300 etc. when I kill power switch or ignition switch it bleeds down. Why would it be negative

12vdc is a dead battery.
Do you have a service manual with the test procedures ?

If you zeroed out your meter and your meter is accurate on the correct setting, you must have a shorted wire somewhere.

Just the wiring over quick can’t see any noticeable shorts or melting.

I took my prob and I am getting power to the cdi box at the orange and white wire. When I prove the blue and white which goes to the coil I get nothing. Not even while cranking. Hm

Found a small torn wire on the stator wire. Repaired it and no luck. The connection with very dirty going to try cleaning it out

I am guessing though this stator being shorted to ground at one point burned it up and the stator most likely is no longer good
