I am thinking of selling my nice 2006 Crossfire 6 and purchasing a 2007 Jaguar. Anybody out there drive a Jaguar yet? I heard rumors that and the new 2007 F Series are tippy. I cannot beleive that myself. I think a Ski-Doo guy made that up. But I was just curious on the Jaguar. Does it perform like they want us to beleive?

Haven't been on it yet but my buddies dad just got one, had 2 T660ST's which he really liked before, and said that this was the best handling sled he has ever ridden, corners on rails and has plenty of power. Buddy has a C7 and his dads Z1 was taking him out of the hole all day! He is hooked on the sport again after 1 ride on it!!!

I have not driven the Jag but do have an F1000, who ever told you they were tippy has never ridden one. Best riding and handling sled I've ever been on and feels lighter than it is. A friend has a jag and loves it, he jumped ship from a Vector to the Jag and is not a bit disapointed. He says hes gotten 90 out of it. He just put a Dakota Perf clutch kit in it and said it felt like it made gains in the mid range but we didnt make it to the pond yesterday to check it.

drove the jag last year in spring 06 and was not impressed with the power I cannot see how it could bet a c6 or c7.......I then drove both 06 c6 and c7 afterwards and they had way more power.

The old man now has a 06 c7 but I haven't been home to drive it yet.

Hey Alley Cat,

1st. I must say that the Jag is awsome!!!!

As far as the track goes, AC advertised the sled with a 128" track!!! all of the demo & show sleds that I have seen had a 128" track, all of the magizines that I have read, stated the the Jag comes stanard with a 1x15x128" track!!!
My salesman said that the sled comes with a 128" track! up until a few weeks ago, AC's web site listed a 128" track now it says 121"
blah,blah,blah....

What I got and everybody eles that ordered a Jag got a 121" track!!!
The 128" track was a big selling future for me.
I talked to AC and they said "to bad for you!!! what you got is what you get and that they can change anything on the sleds they want whenever they want!!! " " That's what my paperwork says".... subject to change without notice...

The woman I talked with was "very nasty" to me from the very begining and I told her that she was not a very nice person! I asked her if it was just her or is it AC's policy to be impolite and uncooperative with its customers? I got a snide responce.

Afterwards, I asked her where my mirrors were, she stated that the Jag does not come with mirrors.
I tolded her that I know that and that I paid $85.00 for the mirrors to be installed at the factory.
She told me to take it up with my dealer!
I in return told her that I have in fact spoke to my dealer about the mirrors and was told that AC will not ship them for some reason and that I should take it up with AC.

What I got for a responce from that was classic, "You know, there is really nothing I can do for you, good luck and have a great day"!!!!

What great customer service AC has!!!

Bottom line, for about $1,200.00 less you can get a Yamaha Vector w/136" track.
Depending how the Jag performs the rest of the year, I may trade next year.

As far as the sled itself, best ride I have very had, smooth and very quite. I only have about 200 miles on it as of now so it is not broken in yet.
There is a limiter chip installed in the brains of the machine to keep the RMP's down. Once I hit 300 miles, my dealer will remove the chip and my sled will fly!!!!

0 to 60 she is a dog (that will change with the chip)
After 60, it will hit 100+ in a blink of an eye (that will only get better too).

The adjustable handle bars are just awsome!!! changing the sit height really moves the center of gravity of the sled for more of a aggressive ride.
Well worth the $11.4 k that I paid with studs and mirrors.
Would I buy it again? probably, I am a die hard AC fan and I really wanted a 4-stroke.
I have been told by many that I should expect 23 mpg once the chip has been removed.

Good luck, let me know if I can further assist you.

Steve...

ummmm.....your dealer should of swapped out your track for the one that was suppose to
come with the sled......most dealers are doing that.......

I was told the same about the track, but if you look real close at the early build sleds they also had the 121. And I have no problems with the 121. The sled rides great. I bet the 128 also rides great from what I have heard. look at the other sleds that are still using the 121 and people like those ok.

I tried to ride one at a dealer up north this week on our trip. Unfortunately, it was in the shop because someone ran into the back of it. I really see this as being my next sled, as soon as I can swallow the price, but I want to ride one before I buy. The dealer did let me spend some time on an F1000 sno pro. As for the tippy feeling, I will agree. Maybe this goes away after it softens up, but the one I rode was extremely stiff and too light in the front for me. I don't know what inch carbides they came with, but it did not turn like a sled should....I figure this is due to a combo of very light frontend and too short of carbides??? Having a ZR800 'til this season, I was also curious about the amount of vibration from this big twin, and it does vibrate like crazy, especially when you let of the throttle and it idles down....way too much for me. I was impressed by the acceleration, but that alone is not reason enough for me to buy a sled. Even if Cat doesn't come out with a bigger HP version of the Jag, I can still see me buying one in a year or so....130 HP isn't chump change, and I'll still have the Tcat to satisfy the need for speed.

My dealer told me the Jaguar is comarible to an F6 and that the new chassis and new firecats are way better handling and more stable sleds then the last ones. He said that the Jaguar is awesome but he hates the sound of it and it just don't sound right hahaha, but he said it does have some good power and the new firecats are way more stable thent he last ones.

My pals Dad has one....I took it for a lengthy ride and was very impressed.
Smooth, good handling, and lots of power for any trails one may encounter.

If i was a flatlander, not a die hard Mountain freak, that would be my sled of choice.

I just purchased two 2007 jags and I’m having a hell of a time with darting. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do? I’ve been told that this iswas a real problem with the 2007 Jag and that to correct the problem I should buy “ Snow Tracker Carbides”.
At the moment I’m quite worried. In fact I’m pretty Pissed.
If anyone can help I’d be very greatful.

My 2008 Z1 also had a lot of darting with 6 inch shaper bars........So I just added a pait of Simmons Gen 2 Skis----absolutely no darting.....gYou may want to go to the Z1 thread and review my assessment.......unless you ride powder part of the time, I think the Standard Simmons would be great......I still haven't tested the Gen 2's in deep powder and water crosssing.
