Hi guys, I have an issue with my electric start on my 07 F5. I was out riding the other day and stopped mid day and shut my sled down. When I went to start it I turned the key and had nothing. With the key turned to the run position I can pull start it no problem and turning the key to the off position shuts the sled down. My battery is charged and the electric start worked great until this point. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated !
Do you hear anything when you turn the key. Usually you will hear a click. If not, jump the solenoid and if it is bad, it should get power to the starter by jumping it.
Good luck. I had to replace my ignition switch on my 2018 600 but that was because at times it would not shut off and occasionally would not start unless I wiggled the key.
Did some more digging this morning and found a melted wire against the exhaust. I cleaned that up and was able to locate a fuse holder behind the battery box. One of the fuses was burnt, I’m assuming from the melted wire shorting. Replaced the fuse and the electric start is back. Thank you for the help guys
