Was looking over my bike today and found this coolant catch tank as the manual calls it. The manual say that if there is no coolant in the tank that i should check the empeller and seals? Wondering why there would be problem if there was coolant in the catch tank? Figure if the seals were leaking u would find some. Can someone shed some clarity on this topic. Mines dry.

Im confused. You asked why there would be a problem is there WAS coolant in the overflow bottle but first stated the manual say there might be a problem is there WASN'T coolant in the bottle. First there should be coolant in the bottle and if it's low or none at all then you do have a problem. If there's no visible leaks then it could be burning coolant in the cylinder meaning a blown headgasket. Also the bottle could be low if the thermostat got stuck closed and the engine over heated and it pushed the coolant out of the overflow bottle. Hope this helps.
