Yes your clutch needs to be adjusted from time to time.. download the manual (there are links on here just look for them) and it takes a whole 10 mins a 10 mm and. 14 mm wrench as well as. A small flat head screwdriver really simple and good insurance.. as far as the foot petal you need to adjust the one for the brakes but not the trans. Hope that helps

Sure

Sitting on the machine on the right side, on the side of the case there is an inspection cover, remove this and keep the o-ring. There are two. Set screws with lock nuts loosen both lock nuts, turn the screw that is located toward the front of the ATV counterclockwise until it stops. Then turn the screw towards the back clockwise. And then counterclockwise a half a turn each way is fine, you should not have any resistance. If so lock the jam nut on the back bolt and then turn the front oriented but 1/8 turn clockwise. And lock the jam nut. Put the o-ring and the inspection plate back on tighten the to bolt down and you should be done.. take it for a ride and make sure it engages smoothly and releases when you let off the throttle to shift if so you are done.

On my 400 the back bolt is a 10mm the front is a 14mm hope that helps

so for the screw toward the rear, turn it clockwise until it stops, then half a turn counter clockwise?

Nope just back and forth about 1/2 turn the rear screw should not stop... the front screw is the one that should stop. Then you go 1/8 turn back and lock it down
