Hi I am wondering what is everyone's thoughts on the 2002, 2003 ,2004 atv 500 manual foot shift
Are they reliable, capable in rough terrain,
Any issues i should look for when look at either of these years , i am not interested in mud riding just Northeast trail riding
I prefer to shift my atv's and currently own a 2000 Suzuki king quad 300 4x4 which I love because this little atv never cease to amaze me!
Your thoughts are appreciated!

The 400 and 500 cats are all Zuki engines back then, the 500 foot shifts were a tough rig but all make alot of timing chain noise, look for shoulder style A-arm bushings, they'll be easier to get parts for.

The intake ducting isn't supported by manufacturer anymore, neither are the plastics.

I have a friend with a 500 foot shift and it seems capable
