Hey all
I have 2 general questions about my Keihin CVK 34 mounted to my 2005 400
1-Is the accelerator pump connected to anything (i see the lever but no point to connect to)
2-What jets are stock
2a-What size jets work best for midwest USA altitudes.

1-no it operates on vacuum
2-3- free service manual at countrycat. Com it will answer both questions.

The best thing for your carb is a Dynojet carb kit. It will really wake it up. They give you multiple jets based on altitude.

Well now...
Thanks for the info on the manual.
I installed a petcock gasket set and fuel filter... she started right up...ran down the street ( avlut a 1/4 mile if that) and got up to 30mph.. then stutter and sputter home...
Now wont stay running and VERY hard to start. Gave up for the night, neighbors should be glad...
Might have to tear into the carb...idle speed screw had no effect...
Any ideas?
The electric choke/enrichener seemed to work when it started up..
Thanks for reading
Fritz

Try the petcock on RES instead of ON. Was the petcock in good shape and clean when you changed gasket?
