My GF's 2000 ZL 440 locked up yesterday. I can turn the primary a bit each way but it feels nasty and only moves about an inch each way B4 jamming solid. Both plugs look fine so I'm thinking it piled up a crank bearing. I'll be tearing it down tuesday to find out exactly what happened and to fix it, but I'm wondering if these engines are known to have any crank bearing issues? 3000 miles seems pretty early for crank failure ...

Last season my 2000 ZR 440 'locked up'.
I could turn the clutch a little either way. It locked up while idling.
Turns out a ring blew for one reason on another (probably just to test my mechical skills), and while still in one piece lodged itself in the exhaust port. Usually I thought rings were brittle, but I had to fight with this one to get it to break off (allowing me the remove the jug).
