Is there a way to enable my wheeler to start in any gear instead of only neutral?

I think its just a relay but why would you want to start it in gear?

Have you tried starting it while holding the brake? Not sure if they had that feature back in 98, but if it has the semi automatic trans I believe it would.

holding the hand brake at the same time of trying to start it should work

I never thought to try that I will give it a shot and let you know. And the reason I want to be able to start it in gear is because every once and while it doesn't want to shift into neutral on an incline and its a pain in the ass.

I tried holding the hand brake while in gear to start it and it was a no go...there must be a way to disable it.
