I am replacing my front wheel bearings and was wondering if anyone knew the torque specifications for the axle nut.

2001 300 says 75 ft lbs if that gives you a idea obviously its a castle nut so i would guess as close as you can while still using the cotter pin

Yeah I couldn't find the specs and I put it back together last night I basically did exactly what you said. I got it tight and and snugged it up an eighth of a turn to get the cotter pins in. I was surprised that I couldn't find the specs just by googling it. I'm going to check ebay for a cheap service manual. Thanks for the help I feel better about it now!
