I picked up a 1996 arctic cat Bear Cat 550 and plan to use it ice fishing on my favorite lake in Utah. the skis are stock with round carbides I have been reading the threads suggesting adding wider skis to keep above the powder. My only use for this sled will be driving it from parking lot to lake then around lake to find fish. I plan to rig a auger holder and a platform for carrying ice gear accessory's. also it is a water cooled engine looking for thoughts on scratchers.

I’m pretty sure you can put the Bearcat 8” skis from the 09 and newer twin spar chassis. I know I did on my 2006 T660 Turbo Touring. I’ll post the spindle width when I get home later this evening. If they fit, you need the 4 spacers and longer bolt. You would also be able to change the width of the ski stance.

I was hoping to put a plastic ski under the metal ones I have on the sled and use the carbides i have if possible.
My metal skis are 5 3/4 wide and 41 tail to toe long, see pics

Google ski skins. Royal distributing in Canada has 8” skins made by RSR. Try Kimpex too.
