I have a 1986 Cougar 500 F/C and it will start on the secoond pull and warm up fine. I take off on it and all the power is there but after about 200 yards it bogs down and stalls like it's running out of fuel. If I pump the primer while its starting to bog down it will stay running. Once it stalls I pull the recoil about ten times and it will start up and run well for another 200 yards and bog down and stall again. I replaced all of the lines and replaced the jets with the little holes/ports on it. I didnt replace the fuel pump because when I pull the recoil, the fuel seems to be flowing thru the lines okay. For some reason it seems that when it's running it runs out of fuel and isnt drawing the fuel to the carb. It's my wifes sled (and our only sled) and she is agitated that she can't ride it. Any assistance I can get with fixing this nice little cougar would be well apprieciated.
