Hey all,

As I impatiently wait for snow to come to the north, I’ve noticed all 4 times I’ve started my sled this season it’s been a bear to get running. The first time I just chocked it up to the fact it’s been sitting all summer, but the issue is persisting. Called my local cat dealer and they were of no help, so I’m reaching out to the community.

Here’s the situation; turn the key on, sled turns on, fuel pump whirrs and primes. Click key to start, cranks but no fire. Re-prime a few times, give it a touch of throttle, fires right up. Idles fine. Throttle response is normal. Runs like a top.
My dealer suggested it might be the pump relay, but Ive never had the pump not prime, and it has this starting issue whether the sled is in my warm garage or outside in the cold.
Im open to ideas before I start throwing hundreds of dollars in parts at it.

Throttle cable adjusted properly? If you turn the steering all the way from one side to the other when running, does it act normal, or does it surge?
