May be a stupid question but can these sleds run without the battery in? My starter is shot and I dont plan on replacing it for this season, where the battery is would be a good spot for a tool kit.

I'd keep a battery in there, even if the starter is shot, i don't think it's good for the system, Tool kit goes in the tunnel bag anyway

No need for battery if you are not running a lot of extras. Battery less EFI so it wont effect how it runs.
