So I've finally got my 500 running, was a hell of a project.

I started it up, threw it in what the dash showed as H, and it DROVE! Wow sat in my shed for 5 months just an hour here or there.

Went to park it, no reverse. Put it in neutral, wouldn't budge either direction. Grabbed a pair of vice grips today and tried to manually shift it on the side, and I could not find a reverse. Every little increment I made, no where was there reverse. In fact, I found neutral, and my dash displays it as reverse.

Anyone have ideas? Linkage?

Anyone got anything? I can drive it in H and hit an easy 30 in my back yard, but I don't wanna run it until I can find reverse ( or rip it apart and fix reverse ), out of fear of the one gear ruining the rest.

So after much headaches and sadness, we have solved the mystery of this.

Basically when it was reassembled, an extra two washers were set in the shift shaft, which absolutely threw everything off enough to not engage the gears but tell the sensor.
I've removed them, and am now just waiting on the gaskets to put everything back together.
