I have a 2007 arctic cat 500 and I am installing an 2006 650 top end on it. I have got the jug milled down to match stroke I am just now trying to figure out what to do about an exhaust and Carb. I need to replace the pipe and muffler just wondering which may be a good one to go with. Then with the carb should i keep my 500 carb with the jet kit or get a 650 carb.

I would suggest going ahead with the 650 Carb as well.

No comment on the muffler set up.

U would have to check but a lot of 650 had same carb as 500 the cvk36 so u would just have to re jet Was it spendy to get the top end milled. I was thinking about this as well

One is bigger than the other. As in Venturi size in mm. 36 vs 40

I did some research yhr only differences between an 07 500 and 650 carb are the float and bowl, choke, and the internal pump besides changing jets

Is the 500 VS 650 head worth doing? Is the valves bigger on the 650?

When you say milled the jug to match the 500's stroke you mean to machine the jugs top surface enough so when the pistons at TDC its flush with the top of the jug? I thought the only machining was to get the jug to fit into the 500 case but that makes total sense. Also I believe with the 650 top end it's only a 618? Pics of the process would be cool?
