Hi im new to the site but i bought a 05 650 v2 with a cracked case, and its my first time owning a utilty four wheeler. i have been reading up on some stuff and saw people having trouble with electronic actuators and getting water in them. I have a joyner sand viper and while looking on ebay for parts i found a manual 4x4 actuator for a joyner trooper that looks like it would be a direct bolt up and it was only $45 and i was wondering if this would be a good investment. I posted some pics so you can see how simular they are.

I think it would be worth a shot if you don't want to worry about electrical failure.

As long as the spring is stiff enough to push the pin back for 4WD when disengaged it should work. The only problem is you'll have to find a way to run the cable to a shifting mechanism. You may incur more costs than you are saving.
