On my 05' F7 (carb) the throttle cable goes from the thumb lever to a junction box where the oil cable starts and the throttle cable continues. Soon after this junction box is an in-line adjuster for the throttle cable. My guess is that this adjuster is for taking the slack out of the cable HOUSING, correct me if I'm wrong. Then after the adjuster the housing and cable continues on to the oil pump arm where there is what I think is a "fitting" either attached or stuck to a jam nut against a mounting bracket then a jam nut under the bracket. I'm confused as to how to go about adjusting this in order to change the oil setting. Are the 2 jam nuts SUPPOSED to be seperate ( I know the lower one is, below the mounting bracket). The jam nut next to the "fitting" above the mounting bracket is the one I need to know how to adjust. I loosened the lower jam nut in order to take tension off of the upper jam nut, but when I try to turn the upper jam nut the " fitting" turns also and wants to spin right back to where it was. I hope I described this so it's understandable. If I could I would take a pic of it but I can't get in there with anything because of the tight space it's in.
