The new bearing on the outside casing does not have an oring. when I bought the bearing it came with instructions on how to put the new seal on the jack shaft. I did what it told me. When I put it all back together the seal pealed out the back side of the chain case, and now it leaks. Is there any way that I could find a "new" older version of that bearing? That any one knows of. Or instruct me on how to do it the right way. Thanks

Like greg said, sealant between the outer surface of the bearing & the inner surface of the chain case is really all you need. The o-ring can help seal things up, but it sounds like you might have tried to install it between the two mating surfaces? Just use sealant there, & if you use the o-ring, it goes over the bearing & between the case & the bearing retainer plate. Also, make sure your replacement chaincase bearings have the inside o-ring that seals them to the driveshafts. The ones without (for the clutch side) will fit in there fine, but will leak.
