Ive got an 01' ZL 550.

In the throttle "pivot" pin/shaft, the slot in the handlebar is ovular (oval). If I manually force the throttle closed, the sled will shut off immediately, or if I lift off the throttle very abruptly, it will die. It sounds/ seems like the ignition is being cut but as stated, its a carbed sled so their should not be any sensors in that area...

It is carbeurated so a faulty throttle position sensor is not the problem.

Could it be that the slides are closing FULLY/ all the way, letting absolutely zero air in?

There is no slack or free motion of the throttle cable... and if I am gentle with the throttle it runs/ idles fine...

His sled is a carb version so not going to be a ton of help but he can still look at the few with carb that posted in there.
