I bought this 01 this year. I have never ridden it. I have started it a few times. In the past with my older sleds I would pull the rope with the choke on till it fired then click off the choke and it would fire the next pull. On this sled I can pull till my arms falls off. It will never fire. I have to un choke it and pull 10 or so times and then its all loaded up.

Im wondering if these newer rack carbs choke alot better. Should I just use half choke?

on my 2000 after it has been started i do not choke it for the rest of the day. full choke pull start, idle 1 or 2 minutes than 1/2 choke for same than no choke. i have it a little fat because i have many lakes to go on and burned to many other pistons.

I also have an 01 Tcat, it should start the same as any of the ZR's, Cold Full choke 1 or 2 Pulls, once she's been running that day it should start with 1/2 or no choke.
Just don't let it set and idle you 'll foul your plugs.
If it's below 0, then pull your arms off and bring a friend to do the same!
