Way too much to describe in this space
Sled was being oval raced. Include at Eagle River. It was sold at an estate auction. A friend bought it for$2000. He tried dragging it but sold it to my neighbor. He had no room to store it so we put it in my garage. 6 months later he said to give him what he paid $2000, and it was mine. Was planning on a factory restoration but my niece wanted to race and after some research discovered that it would be cheaper to make it into a full blown mod.
$10500.00 and 8 years later, lots of engine work, rpm, 40.3 lbs torque and 175 lbs compression and getting the race weight down to 342 from starting at 387 lbs in the first race and figuring that there is 24 more lbs that can be lost. Other work includes ,Aaen cross over pipes, twin Mikuni 38s,comet 102c clutch, Polaris secondary, making a jackshaft drive with a Formula ll jackshaft, Skidoo chain case, installing 9 tooth drivers, repositioning drive axle, extending the chassis to go from a 102 inch track to a 15 X121 camoplast, Wahl Brothers skid, 180 pics. I think it's safe to say, There is no other like it! [9200TAC
