I want to build a mountain cat 900 that is bored out to accept a M1000 piston. I know i will need a little more deck spacing but, where do i get the spacer and who knows how to do the correct porting, boring, and power valve job.

My sled is a 04 1m 900EFI i already have a boondocker, twin pipes, vforce reeds, and a good breathable airbox. Also i am getting the crank trued and welded soon so that is why i am thinking about doing this.

We've had Millennium (Millennium Technologies) do all our boring/plating for our 975s. According to the website, they can do the power valve sizing and required head mods, and they also list porting. I don't know how far I'd trust their porting.

My dad does our porting (he used to do port work for SLP, and got specs for these from a local performance shop), but RK Tek (RK Tek 2-Stroke Heads) has done at least one of these that I know of.

We have the spacers made here locally, and can supply them for ~$20. If you have a place that can make them, they're pretty easy. Just use a base gasket as a template, and have the plate made out of 0.063" sheet. Then use a base gasket on either side. I might be able to find boondocker numbers also. We helped a guy build an EFI one a few years ago. I don't know how much those numbers need to change with elevation though.

i have a complete 975 top end i have yet to install
it came off a running sled
rkt head
pistons ( i bought spi new) and used wiesco had 50 miles on top end
spacers
bdx power valve block off with chip
975 jugs
i also have fresh plated jugs we did as backup from millenium
black magic pipe and can

Dang I wish I had that kind of money to spend on it. I only spent $250 for the speedwerx kit that was down one cylinder and it came with a head too. I know I will never find a deal like that agian lol
