Arctic Cat Pricing Parts???

Been ordering Parts, trying to cross reference some components from other Models, Like bearing kits seals and such. Seems like all balls has a good market on the Bearing Kits. I even ordered all new Bushings and bearings from Arctic Cat . I thought cross referencing all these parts with a bearing outfit may prove to be One Cheaper? and Better Quality Components ?Maybe? Well I must of sent 3 times the Part Number s sizes and never even got a reply from our local Bearing house?? I am rebuilding a Few of them so needed more parts. I was amazed at the Prices for SEALS?? Holy Cow!! a set of crankcase seals and a Base gasket s nearly 250 bucks? 9Canada) I have rebuilt Machinery before and bought Bearings Seals and such but they never even came close to the Prices charged by the Local Cat Dealer? I was just surprised thats all. Sleds seem to be stupid prices on replacement parts??
Hi Michael
Crankcase seals as follows along with Base Gasket. part# 3008-525 Seal $70.95, Part # 3008-526
seal $83.95 and part # 3008-588 gasket $64.95. They all take a few days to get also. !!

These prices just seem Retarded for what they are? And compared to other Pricing on Industrial Seals just ridiculous. Has anyone ever found a good reasonable source for cat parts? Thanx mike

It definitely pays to shop around. Ken's Sports can be great on some items, and very high on others. Country Cat is ok, but again highest price on some items... by a lot. Always worth checking Ebay for new stock. This winter I came across https://www.arcticcatpartsnation.com...owmobile/parts and they had the lowest prices of everything I wad looking for at the time, with good service.

Having said all this, my preference is to order from "my" dealer. Unfortunately, being a smaller rural dealer, he doesn't always have what I need, when I need it.

All fine and dandy when you’re in the USA, but us Canadians get hosed with pricing or freight.

It was discussed on here a while back All Balls are not the best quality. I would stay away from them myself.
As for crank seals, I have been using Cometic for a few years now with good results. This is what I just bought for my Hooper 1050:

All Balls, Pivot Works, (anything that seems like its too good to be true “price wise” with CHINA on it, stay the away from!!)

You’ll be doing yourself a big favor.

Watch FAFNIR and TIMKEN breatings closely, both have plants in CHINA and the US. Weed out the Chinese crap in favor of US made goods. And don’t just look on the boxes they come in. Check the bearings seals and inner/outer races for that 5-letter word (China)

Who, me?! Don't listen to me.... (I don't know anything, evidently...)

If a Brg says made in Japan (KOYO brand for instance), its a good bearing.

I prefer NTN “BLUE SEAL” bearings for anything chassis wise. If they’re available in sizes needed that is, if not, I search for KOYO or FAFNIR or TIMKEN (just to name a few)

Beware: there are imitation (Chinese made) “Blue Seal” bearings out there. Look closely.

I ran into the same thing rebuilding a Polaris 400L four wheeler engine. Dealer and local bearing shop prices were F’d. I used All-Balls crank bearings without any issues. I’ve been plowing with this quad for the past two seasons and it still runs like new after rebuild.

I will say this... You’re Lucky!

To have gotten that time out of their bearings, is nothing short of a miracle, IMO.

Lol, I just seen your location listing, kind of ironic, no? 🤣

Here’s hoping those keep going for you. 🍻

Do you worry about not having low temp grease in your chassis/idler wheel bearings? OR can you get bearings with low temp grease, if so where’s?
