I find most of the time, folks really don't know about their sleds. Most folks you buy sleds from aren't like you or me, that know their stuff. So it really is a crap shoot. If you buy it, you just have to be prepared to do work do it. If its been for sale for over an year, that is not a good indicator.

I absolute agree with Afton.Jay. only because the sled isn't stock and the guy can't rattle off what's been modified. If it were stock then no big deal since the factory wrote manuals for how to fix THAT stuff. I'm not trying change your mind on it but just be aware that you could run into things that you were never told about from the PO cause maybe he doesn't know about them either (like compression) I know exactly what the compression is on all my sled and what's been done to them front to back. But that's just me and I'm really friggin anal about my equipment.

I'd go get it. Those 60 or so cc's don't sound like much but they make a hell of a difference! 15hp or so.

Whether it's carb or efi, the 800 electronics can be used. If it has 900 heads on it it's probably a good bet the cylinders are 900 too. I can't imagine an 800 bore running well at all with 900 domes.

Something donít sound rigjht, he said 800 bottom and 900 cylinders and heads . Now he canít get it started. Two things are going on here I think. He mows nothing about sleds or he does and is playing stupid

The 02 EFI is the best bet. I had a black 600 same year, always wanted the 800 just couldnt ever find a good one that wasny green! I loved thar sled so much, best damn yrail sled ever made. I haven't had a carburated sled since the mid 90's and after having EFI, I'll never go back!
