2013 500 belt noise

I have a 2013 arctic cat 500 efi that has a chatter grinding noise coming from the belt case. It happens when going down a steep hill at 5 mph engine braking and when coming to a stop on a downhill. Any ideas?

Could be the one way bearing. Best bet is to pull the cover and have a look.

pretty sure thats normal as mine has done it from day 1 and i have a lot of km on mine.. I think its just the weights bouncing around as their is no engine rpm to hold things together. It is a good idea to pop it open and take a look.. I usually pull mine apart yearly and blow things out.. Put some anti seize on the dowel pins you will thank me the next time you pull it apart.

Nothing better than riding with friends and family
