700 hdx crew

Hey Everyone with 700hdx....
Been dealing with a problem....
Trying to find a solution.
Original problem was very high idle and then bottom out idle, I had done maintenance not to long before.
Dealers says I had a plugged air filter, which allowed dirt in motor and now has scored cylinder... I'm calling B's because I had just serviced it myself.....I feel like I'm being cheated. They won't do anything for it and they want to tear top end apart to verify if there was a mechanical failure. It ran but not great. Now it won't start .

A plugged air filter is doing it's job, a missing, cheap or improperly oiled or installed one lets dirt in and scores a cylinder.

Was it compression tested?

Was the ISC tested or replaced?
