Temp sensor plugs 05 500 FIS

Ok these 2 plugs coming off what I'm pretty sure is the temp sensor aren't plugged into anything. I looked fairly good in the area they would reach to and didn't see any options for them to plug into. I know I ran it for a few minutes and what I felt should have been hot enough for the fan to come on and it never came on so I'm guessing maybe they are related. I did find this plug that matched but it's way up under the cover that's under the handle bar display. So any ideas pics or anything anyone can do to help me would be greatly appreciated as I'm not too good at reading electrical schematics or whatever. Thanks in advance. Dale

Temp sensor plugs 05 500 FIS

The one up top is just an accessory plug. It looks like the those two lower ones should be plugged together. If you have a Multimeter check for voltage.

Ok just for giggles I put a meter on both but neither have anything on them. As a matter of fact it would be impossible really. Both are on a wire that comes off the circular plug thing that screws into the bottom left of the radiator. So you have the plug thing (Assuming temp sensor) screwing into the bottom of the radiator with a double wire coming out of the back. About half way down is on of the 2 prong plugs then it dead ends with another 2 prong plug. I hope that makes sense if not let me know and Ill post up a better pic. I was wrong about the fan it comes on immediately when the switch is turned on.

Thatís why. The fan needs to be plugged into one of those to be controlled by the temp switch.

Gotcha... Prob is a can't find that plug so where would you look for it and I'm assuming they just have it wired to come on with the switch then? I'm not the original owner is why I say that.

The best thing to do is download the service manual and wiring diagram at countrycat.com.
My guess is the temp switch is shot so they bypassed it.
