700 mud pro 2009 starting issues.

dealing with a starting issue at times. somedays works great other times not so great. I can go out try to start won't grab then 5 min later try again and it takes right off.
after on a run shut it off then want to go in 5 ten mins sometimes it goes other times no.
How many out there found this to be a battery issue?
And has anyone did a valve chk adjustment for this particular problem?

No I keep the battery up and also add a booster on too make sure its getting the juice. I'm starting to think valves getting adjusted?

"Won't grab and take right off" aren't good troubleshooting aids.

I would check that the TPS is adjusted correctly.
Then reset the ISC

doorfx this a great tip since my last reply the bike has been starting every time I've tried with no problem and the bike would idle high until it warmed and then come back down to normal idle. but for the past 2 days when cold it starts no problem but does not seem to idle high until warm up. would you relate this to your TPS ISC tip or maybe think valve adjustment?

Hard starting could be valves or tps/isc.
High idle or bad idle would be TPS

My 2012 Mud Pro the starter doesn’t engage when it’s hot if I have it in gear and hold the brake and it doesn’t engage I put it in neutral and the starter engages or just turn the key off then back on and it starts dealer said it’s probably because it’s made in India they can build the engine here in Minnesota but can’t use a quality starter from what I’ve seen and from what other people say it’s better than what Polaris uses their starters won’t engage when they get to hot or after a couple years of use that’s the reason they went with the biggest battery you put in a four wheeler just so the driver isn’t stranded
