One way bearing removal.

I am replacing bearings and seals in drive clutch due to oil in clutch box. Since I am in there I am thinking of removing the one way bearing. Any thoughts on this. Thanks.

Lots of guys do it. Just remember you lose your engine braking. Personally I left mine in my quad as I don't mind that feature.

I removed mine from my Prowler, slight loss of engine braking, but not really that bad.

take it out and throw it away. In a prowler, it will fail eventually.

What needs to be done to remove it? Obviously you need to access the clutches and then what?

Pull the clutches, drain the oil, and remove the inner cover. The oneway rides on the wet clutch hub, it can be removed by hand. Keep it for a paperweight, that is about all it is good for! LOL
