2006 Arctic Cat VIN HELP/ WIRING HARNESSES Issue

Arctic Cat VIN: 4UF06ATV86T211233
Trying to find a main wiring harness for my ATV. It's a (RED) 2006 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 Automatic. I've seen several different ones on Ebay to purchase, but haven't been to confident with purchasing any because of the different types of variations it could be.

Mine has just the standard straight seat on it. And the front brush gaurd is on the top and comes down in the front of it where my winch comes through. It has electric start and manual pull start on it with both sides are exposed and aren't covered with plastic pieces. My gas tank cap is located on the right side back fender area and not underneath the handle bars above the seat like most atvs. Mine has a storage box made into the plastic between the top of the seat and where the handle bars start.. right on top of the air filter box.

What I'm trying to figure out is the correct complete wiring harness I am needing to put on my ATV. Where everything matches up perfect and I'm not trying to guess and play hit or miss. I really don't want to purchase one brand new because of how pricey they are ($300+).. I found some used ones on Ebay between $50-$75. If anyone could help me out.. I would gladly appreciate it. Thanks.

You have a 06 400 auto FIS. Harness part number is 0486-178 as per Cat parts fische.

What's your reason for needing to get a harness?.

I needed a new wiring harness because when I bought my arctic cat used.. the previous owner had wired the fans straight with the head lights.. and now the fuse box has melted where the head light fuse goes in.. I just wanted to just get another one basically in perfect condition.. so I can just plug in and go.. and don't have any tinker with it and make it half ass work.

You can reverse search on the country cat website to find what years that harness was used. I'm guessing several.

Sadly that part number is for 2006 only and FIS models. However, and it may take a bit of work, download wiring diagrams from Country Cat for 06, 07, and 08 models. See what the differences are. You never know if a slight change warranted a new part number for a harness and you may be able to make one work. Country Cat lists the proper one for $511.96 with shipping in 3-4 days.
