1971 Arctic Cat Prowler

I have a 1971 Arctic Cat Prowler and am looking for information on it. I am having the spark plug rethreaded tomorrow and need to get a new spark plug. Not sure what should be used (it had an AC 45 in it). Also, not sure what fuel / oil mixture should be used. I would also like to get a parts list so I can replace some damaged / missing pieces.

Thanks

I believe they used a Sachs 2 stroke. Sachs/Dolmar still makes chain saws, I believe. If you can find a dealer, they might have info on that motor. Would think a good 2 stroke oil like Husqvarna or Stihl mixed 40/1 or 50/1 and non ethanol gas. I'm not a fan of AC plugs, but, heck try a new AC 45, or cross reference NGK or Champion. The problem with running premix 2 strokes, they run great under load , but tend to foul plugs if idled too long. 50/1 is probably better that 40/1 unless you like changing plugs a lot.

There's some info on bosscatlegacy.com and arcticinsider.com. I Googled arctic cat mini bike and those sites came up. It's a 47cc Sachs motor.

I found those sites as well....but nothing on the spark plug or gasil mixture. I have a feeling the AC 45 was not the correct spark plug as it looks like the plug bottomed out before reaching all the way into the cylinder. I am hoping that the parts list will show the correct plug to use.

Never know, but NAPA may be able to look up the correct plug. They have found plugs for me for pretty old obscure motors.

Thanks, I checked and they didn't have anything

I'll keep looking.
