Arctic Cat 300 Smoking Problem

Hello! My Arctic Cat 300 is blowing smoke out of the exhaust and I don't know why. I rebuilt the carburetor recently and replaced the valves, coil, plug, and CDI. If anyone can help me thank you bunches.

What was the reason you changed valves? Excessive wear in valve guides could contribute. I take it you installed new valve seals too at the same time. Poor head gasket sealing might be an issue with oil coming from timing chain area seeping into combustion chamber.

The ATV has very little hours. The reason why I replaced the valves was because they were poorly made, one of them mushroomed and pulled back into the head. The valve guides were pretty good, so I left them. The valve seals were also good I just cleaned them up and lapped them in. Do you think I need to re-torque the head since everything has broken in?

I'm talking about the valve stem seals. #10 in the attached picture.

I didn't buy no seals, I just put the old ones back in. Now I'm wondering if they need replaced.

You should have replaced them. They get hard and weak from the engine heat and donít do their job anymore.

They were hard when I looked at them. I thought that they was supposed to be hard. Now if I ever replace them I'll have to break the head back down.

I checked the compression and it came back to 182psi, so it couldn't be the rings or valves. I'm curious if it's the carburetor.
