Just took a 3 day trip to Gilbert MN to check out ATV Park and Loved it. They have mud runs, steep hill climbs, tight winding trails and easy trails for beginers (although not to many of them). We did loose 1 07 400 Honda down 1 hill but $400 should fix him up fine. If you do check it out take your nice rims off and switch back to stock because this place eats em.

Yeah the Iron Range is a good time I was out there a couple years ago. Neat place. Did they ever expand the park like the initial plans discuss towards the Virginia area?
JKorynta
Havent expanded yet but the rumor is by next summer if it passes all the conservation hoops it should more than double in size.

I see. Yeah the initial plans when the park was being built detailed another section that would double the parks size, I think it would be like 7000 acres total or something like that. I can't remember. But hopefully that happens. There isn't alot to keep an atv busy out there for more than like a full day. But it still was alot of fun when I was out there.

I've been to the ATV Park in Gilbert once with my uncle and cousin. It was a nice place to ride. Beautiful scenery and a fun ride, seemed like you were always either going up/down hill or turning; hardly a straight level area in the place. The only problem was that my uncle and cousin rented a couple of Honda Sport ATVs and I was trying to keep up on my Arctic Cat Utility ATV and came into a corner a little to fast, got a front tire stuck in a tire run and over it went. It broke some parts and had to be towed back to the trailer. That was the end of my riding, less than 2 hours into the day and after trailering it 500 miles just to ride there. I'd like to go back some time, but probably should be more careful next time.

I'd recomend it to anyone who is thinking about going!

I've ridden the area the park is in 15 years before they thought about making it a riding park, I have only been there once since it has become a park and most of the trails were ones I rode 15 years ago, some have been widened out but they are the same that I remember. If it does get the expansion it will be very nice since there is a little less RED ORE on the other side towards Virginia, and there are already a few miles of trails on that side also, if you know where they go. Been riding this area all my life and still hate the RED ORE, spray down your ride with WD-40 before you go and it washes off most of it other wise that red crap will stain everything for life...

yea the iron range just got an award for one of the top ohv parks in america in 4-wheeler magizine.
Ive heard that the red dirt does a number on your quad though...turns it red. And i know they have done some serious expansion up there within the last few years.
The only thing is that its kinda a haul to drive for me from the cities and if one of our riders machines goes down it suks.

I can still see a tint of red on my engine even though it's been over 3 years since I was there. My muffler looked nice and black before I went there, but was all corroded the next day after I left. I was stupid though and didn't wash it off before I left. I just wanted to leave as soon as I got it back on the trailer after I wrecked and didn't take the time to wash it off. I won't make that same mistake again if I go back.

Going back July 10th with 13 of us and rented a villa at giants ridge. Anyone who can go should, its usually a shoot out between polaris ans A/C with the guys I go with, so the more cats the better so I can ride and not "PULL" all weekend laugh.gif . The campground in Gilbert is a good place to stay too and theres a car wash on the way back. Use it, trust me. I didnt feel like pulling 3 trailers and 3 campers 3.5 hrs this year so that cabin should be sweet!
