I just purchased a used 2006 DVX 400 and I don't have the owners manual yet. Please tell me how much oil to put in and any tips other than the O ring. Any additional maintainence tips would be appreciated.

First You drain the oil in the crankcase and the oil tank. It's highly recommended that you replace the filter every oil change too...Put 2 liters (about 2.2 US quarts i believe) into the tank....start the engine and let it run through for a couple minutes....after letting it cool for a couple more minutes check the oil on the dipstick and keep adding oil until it comes up to the top of the crosshatch section on the dipstick. I hope that helps....i dont know if you already knew all that

Becareful not to over tighten the drain bolt in the oil tank, they can strip out pretty easy. You know to look for the small o-ring on end of the oil filter. Dont forget to grease the 3 grease zerks on the rear shock linkage as well.
