i have a 2005 650 v-twin,with 1800 miles on it..i recently had the frame brake in 4 places ,all breaks are on the upper part of the frame just above the air cleaner.i sent pics to arctic cat after waiting 2 weeks for a return phone call,i heard back today and they told me my quads warranty was expired and theywere doing nothing to fix my quad..i then explained this was the 3rd quad i had bought from them and this was clearly a manufacturer defect and not a warranty issue.i told them frames braking in half under normal circumstances is unacceptable.they said these views were solely my opinion.i have also replaced 2 shocks -1 axle and a belt i figured these were normal wear and tear and had no problem fixing them myself.however replacing frames on a 7300 dollar quad after 3 years does not seem like normal wear and tear to me.i was shocked with how they handled this, especially after i see this is a reoccuring problem.i would think they would be very concerned for there customers safety aswell as there reputation as a american manufacturer, but they certainly did not seem concerned.i guess i will chalk this up as a lesson learned. i would like to hear from others with same problem! thank you

as i can remember the early vtwins were cracking along with some 500s as well.
strange but i had seen an 07 400 that broke the frame right in front of the air filter box as if someone took a hacksaw to it.
