14*f at 7a.m. this morning when I hit the trail in Union Grove,Wi. When I got back to the truck at 11:30a.m. it was a balmy 44*f. Only 97 miles today, by tomorrow the party will be over for S.E. WI. Here's a few pics

Well at least you got some riding in MM ... I'm hoping the storm they're forecasting for this weekend hits northern Wisconsin since I'm due up there Friday afternoon (no offense to those of you who ride elsewhere). The Hayward/Cable area is WAY overdue for some snow.

Chris, How many miles do you have so far this yr?

Almost embarrassed to admit it Rusty ... a whopping 670. I'm hoping to top the 1000 mile mark this coming weekend, but without the conditions improving up around Hayward that's looking pretty doubtful.

yeah, i figured to have more than I do at this time also, that lapse of weather in dec/jan really hurt my goals this yr, starting this weekend though, hope to put on another 500-600 in the next two weeks, just have to wait and see, works been killin me, last week i'd bet I didn't get 20 hrs sleep between saturday night and this saturday night

Over 600 miles in those 2 countys this season. The truck has'nt been north of Tomahawk, Wi yet this season.
Did'nt know what to expect when I got there this a.m. I only posted the GOOD stuff, trust me there's some nasty lookin trails too. Lots of TRAIL CARNAGE layin around, riders not seeing hazzards till it's too late and trashing their sleds, 3 windshields, handlebars with some of the cables ripped right out from brake housing and throttle linkage. Dozens of BEER cans, trail signs mashed from guys riding over them. Lots of trees with fresh SCARS on them. I'll bet friday and saturday nights were absolute INSANITY on the trails there.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Mr. Dee has disappointed me more than once when hyping a storm over 5 days out. The one good thing with him though ... at least he's in FAVOR of a system (as opposed to those weenie's on TV!).

He was one of the FEW that actually predicted 8"+ for the storm that rolled thru CHI-TOWN last monday night thru wed afternoon. Some of the local YAHOO's where in the 1-3 and 3-5 range. Final tally was 10.8" after the L.E.S. stopped. 30-40 mph winds off Lk Mi was cleaning the roofs off some of my corporate plowing accts, creating drifts as high as 6-7 feet. I did 37 hours NON-STOP in my truck with 3/ 1 hour naps. It was NASTY to say the least. Then we got another 3-4" on friday night till saturday noon. That was an EASY one ONLY 13hrs in the truck. Needless to say im ready for spring from the Wi state line SOUTH. Keepin my fingers crossed for some good MARCH riding. Talked to the Florence, Wi DNR guys last week, they said im good to go for parking the truck and trailer in their lot overnight for 3-4 days if they get good snow in march. Slap the SADDLEBAGS on and BOOGY till I click 1000+ mi (insert SNOWDANCE here)
